Ceramic industries in West Bengal

West Bengal is located in the east part of India. This state is the fourth largest in terms of population in the world. In history this region was part of empires, the British East India Company hold this place which is followed by the Battle of Plassey. Agriculture is the basic occupation of the folks of West Bengal. Rice is considered as the staple diet in this state. Jute is also the main crop of this state. Tea is found abundance in this area and even its plantation. Darjeeling in West Bengal has the highest number of the tea gardens. Even this state is rich in the minerals. Major steel plants are located in this area. Durgapur Colliery belt has many steel plants. Other industries like the cables, leather, jewellery, textiles are also found in this region. Many types of machinery which are used for the production of ceramic good are manufactured in this State. The raw materials which are used for the production of various ceramic goods are produced in this region. This state is also rich in various minerals thus the ceramic production becomes easy in this state. Many industrial units are coming up and making their market over here.
