Ceramic industries in Tripura

Tripura is the state in the north east of India and it’s surrounded by Bangladesh to the west, south and north while the Mizoram and Assam are to its east. Agartala is the capital of this state Bengali and kokborok are the main languages which are spoken in this area.  Agriculture is the basic economy of the people of this state and it provides employment to about 64% of the population. Here even Handicraft things like the wood carving, pottery, cotton fabric and bamboo products are also found in this state. In the forest of Tripura mainly sal, teak, timber and garjan are found. This area has abundance of natural gas resource with the mineral resource like limestone, coal, glass sand, clay etc. Coloured glassware production is also there in this state because of the availability of glass sand. Even plastic clay is found over here which is used in the production of coloured ceramics. Even many other small deposits of clay have been reported in this area. Gray plastic clay also has been found in these areas which are used for the production of ceramic goods. Even lignite is found in many areas of Tripura. Limestone is also found in abundance in this area because of the good amount of mineral reservoir found in this place the market of ceramic industries are coming up.
