Meghalaya is a small state which is located in the north east part of India. Meghalaya means “The Abode of Clouds” in Sanskrit. This hilly region is wonderful and the scenic beauty of this place is very famous. Assam, Bangladesh is on its north and south side. Shillong is the capital of this beautiful state and it has the population of around 260,000. Forest covers one-third of the state, many biodiversity of mammals nest in this state. Agriculture is the main economy of this state. These state also has rich base of the natural resources like the limestone, sillimanite, Kaolin, granite etc. Thus the production of ceramic goods becomes easy in this state. All these natural resources are found in abundance in this state thus the ceramic companies come and established their units at this state. Cement manufacturing plants and industries are also located in this state which has the production capacity of 900 MTD. Many plants are established to extract the limestone which is found in this state which can be further used for the production of ceramic goods. This state is also promoted for tourism and government is trying its best to increases the tourists at this state.
